LANGKAWI, 24 May 2025 – The Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition 2025 (LIMA’25) concluded triumphantly today, having attracted 450,000 visitors, 860 exhibitors from 24 countries, and featured 43 aircraft and 31 naval vessels.
The five-day event also recorded the signing of contracts, MoUs, and LOIs worth RM11 billion, further cementing its stature as Asia-Pacific’s premier defense and aerospace exhibition.
The closing ceremony was officiated by Minister of Defense, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, at the A.T.M.O.S Sphere Dome, Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre (MIEC). LIMA’25 brought together leading global and regional players from the defense, security, maritime, aerospace, and commercial sectors.
Held across two key venues – MIEC and Resorts World Langkawi (RWL) – the 17th edition of LIMA served as a major platform for technological showcases, strategic partnerships, and defense diplomacy. In addition to the main exhibitions, the event hosted high-impact air and maritime displays, industry forums, and business matching sessions.
Beyond its commercial and industrial achievements, LIMA’25 underscored Malaysia’s commitment to promoting peace, regional security, and international defense cooperation. This aligns with Pillar 6 of the Ministry of Defense Strategic Plan 2021–2025, which focuses on strengthening international collaboration to safeguard national defense.
Distinguished attendees include Deputy Defense Minister Adly Zahari, Chief of Defense Forces General Datuk Hj Mohd Nizam Hj Jaffar, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain, Secretary-General of MINDEF Datuk Lokman Hakim Ali, Chief of Army General Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Muhammad Hafizuddeain Jantan, Chief of Navy Admiral Datuk Dr. Zulhelmy Ithnain, and Chief of Air Force General Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Mohd Asghar Khan Goriman Khan, along with senior officials from the Malaysian Armed Forces and defense ministries.
