JOHOR BAHRU: In the essence of empathy and kindness throughout the sacred month of Ramadan, Trinidad Suites Johor through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, held an event at the Trinidad Suites Conference Center.
This year, Trinidad Suites had the privilege to welcome 25 elderly residents from Persatuan Kebajikan Nur Ehsan, a facility dedicated to offering shelter and care to senior citizens who might otherwise experience isolation and neglect.
The individuals residing in this home are those who, due to a range of circumstances, lack familial support. Many are navigating their later years without the companionship, care, and attention they rightfully deserve.

Through the hotel’s CSR initiatives, the management and staff aspire to enhance their lives by engaging them in activities that promote a sense of community and belonging.
Furthermore, the hotel was also honored to host 20 children from Rumah Anak Yatim Shafar, aged between 7 – 15 years.
These children hail from disadvantaged backgrounds, and this event provides them with a chance to embrace the joy and blessings of Ramadan within a nurturing and supportive atmosphere.
As an organization, the hotel is dedicated to acting as a responsible corporate citizen. This event reflects their commitment to contributing to the community and fostering a positive influence, especially for vulnerable and marginalized populations.

Present for the occasion were Dato’ Sri Naresh Mohan, Group CEO of Hospitality 360, Rajesh Daswani, Group Business Development Manager of Hospitality 360, Rob Tan, Group Director of Sales (Hotel Division) of Hospitality 360 and Andy Shaun Ah Koon, Executive Assistant Manager of Trinidad Suites Johor.
During the evening’s event, Dato’ Sri Naresh Mohan, had the privilege of distributing duit raya to the elderly residents and children, a customary gift symbolizing gratitude.
This act brought forth moments of joy and enthusiasm, illuminating the children and elderly faces and enhancing the overall memorability of the occasion.
Additionally, every attendee received a carefully selected memento as a gesture of goodwill, which will serve as a lasting reminder of this meaningful gathering and the sense of community and generosity that characterized the occasion.

After the gathering, Muslims present were invited to engage in the Terawih prayers, a significant custom observed during Ramadan. This communal act of devotion represented the solidarity and common beliefs that unite the community, overcoming all distinctions and fostering a sense of closeness among all participants.
The hotel’s aspiration for the future is to further enhance their corporate social responsibility initiatives, with the objective of organizing three significant CSR events annually.
These events will target diverse community groups, such as disadvantaged students, senior citizens, and individuals encountering socio-economic difficulties.
By consistently conducting these events, they intend to create a meaningful and enduring impact on the lives of those who require assistance the most.
To add to the merriment of the night, there was live music, song performance by D Frenz Acoustic and solo violin performance by Aqmal Daniel. The crowd were enthralled by their performances.

As the evening drew to a close, the laughter and chatter continued, a testament to the success of the event. The hotel staff’s dedication to creating an inviting atmosphere, coupled with the genuine connections made, underscored the profound impact of such initiatives.
Speaking to ApaKhabar TV, Dato’ Sri Naresh Mohan said the initiative was aimed at reflecting the spirit of charity and alms giving during Ramadan and building a sense of community.
“Every year Trinidad Suites Johor welcomes the children or elderly of different welfare homes to a breaking of the fast function. We strive to bring a smile to the orphans or elderly,” he remarked.
“What little we can do, we do because that goes some way towards conveying to them that there are people who think and care for them,” he said.
The children, the elderly and their guardians were delighted by the hospitality they received. For a few hours they were laved in beatific smiles as they chatted merrily and enjoyed themselves.
He described the hosting of the Ramadan buffet at the hotel as an act of compassion on an auspicious season.

“In the spirit of Ramadan, Trinidad Suites Johor is reaching out to the needy, especially with our preparation for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri through giving out goodies to enrich the lives of beneficiaries while making their Ramadan month more meaningful,” he added.
