JOHOR BAHRU: Amari Johor Bahru, in collaboration with Yayasan Raja Zarith Sofiah Negeri Johor (YRZSNJ), announced the successful completion of the Ramadan CSR initiative, Kasih Ramadan Cahaya Kebaikan 2025.

This program has provided support and hope to 200 disadvantaged children and families throughout Johor, reflecting the essence of generosity and community solidarity during the holy month of Ramadan.

Kasih Ramadan Cahaya Kebaikan 2025 aimed to enhance the well-being of the most vulnerable by delivering essential daily necessities and critical medical support.

Present for the event were Hishamuddin Abdul Rahim, CEO of YRZSNJ, Khairul Hassanain, CEO of KPJ Pasir Gudang, As-Sheikh Ustaz Khalid Ali, interpreting office, Jabatan Agama Islam Johor, Mohd Safuan Fadzli Mohsin Fadzli, special duty officer YRZSNJ, Pauline Chua general manager of Amari Johor Bahru, Nor Arfah Arshad, general manager KPJ Kluang Specialist Hospital and Hadi Abdullah, Director of Sales & Marketing Amari Johor Bahru.

Each family in need received a carefully assembled box filled with staple goods such as rice, cooking oil, sugar, flour, salt, sardines, instant noodles, Milo, tea, biscuits, coffee, and eggs, thereby equipping them to prepare nutritious meals throughout the holy month.

In addition, KPJ Healthcare Group provided 200 medical kits, guaranteeing that every family had access to important healthcare resources.

Amari Johor Bahru reaffirmed its dedication to corporate social responsibility by donating RM150,000 to the initiative.

This effort was bolstered by substantial contributions from various major sponsors, categorized by their donation amounts.

The first category included Lee Sin Laundry, SJ Varied Foundation, and ShahAdvance, each donating RM5,000. The second category featured Iskandar Investment Berhad (IIB) and YBM Dato Sri Tiong King Sing, both contributing RM10,000.

Additionally, sponsors such as Elala Sdn Bhd, Majlis Bandaraya Pasir Gudang, and 3A Glove Sdn Bhd each provided RM15,000, while KPJ Healthcare Group made a notable contribution of RM25,000.

The financial resources and in-kind donations have played a crucial role in delivering support to beneficiaries in several important areas of Johor.

Aid was extended to families in Kulai District, Sekola Baroka Johor Bahru, Rumah Perlindungan Kanak-Kanak Johor, Pangsapuri Larkin Jaya, Kangkar Tebrau, and Taman Desa Rakyat Pasir Gudang, thereby creating a significant and positive influence on the community.

Amari Johor Bahru’s general manager, Pauline Chua, conveyed her pride and appreciation by stating that the partnership with Yayasan Raja Zarith Sofiah Negeri Johor in this initiative is a significant honor.

She emphasized that their joint efforts to provide vital assistance to underprivileged families reflect the true essence of Ramadan.

Chua noted the remarkable generosity of sponsors and the community, which reinforces their dedication to fostering positive change in Johor.

Ramadan, she stressed is a time of reflection, gratitude, and togetherness. It reminds us to extend kindness to those in need and to uplift one another, especially our less fortunate brothers and sisters.

“Today, we are proud to bring light and hope to 200 underprivileged children and families across Johor. It is our humble way of contributing to their well-being and spreading the joy of this blessed season,” she asserted.

This gathering united all sponsors and 15 selected beneficiary families from a pool of 200 recipients, fostering an atmosphere of togetherness, empathy, and joy. The dinner served as a significant occasion for the community to embrace the essence of Ramadan, allowing participants to share not only a meal but also the fulfillment of contributing to a meaningful cause.
