JOHOR BAHRU: People of Johor from all walks of life have forwarded birthday wishes and warmest greetings to His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia who turns 67 on Sunday.

The ruler is a strong believer in Bangsa Johor, a concept aimed at promoting greater unity among people in the state. His Majesty has shown great care and compassion for his subjects.

Sultan Ibrahim places emphasis on racial unity and wants representation from Malay, Chinese and Indian NGOs in the committee to provide feedback and input on the annual Kembara Mahkota Johor expedition.

Despite His Majesty’s sternness, Sultan Ibrahim is also known as a compassionate Ruler who is well loved and respected by his subjects.

Those who have met Sultan Ibrahim describe His Majesty as a warm-hearted Ruler with an amiable personality and a good sense of humour.

Sultan Ibrahim and Johor Permaisuri Raja Zarith Sofiah Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah have always paid close attention to the people’s welfare and provided assistance to countless Johoreans who faced hardships during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Sultan Ibrahim, who comes from a line of strong-willed, savvy and independent Rulers, is passionate about developing Johor into a modern and progressive state.

The Sultan’s vision is to transform the state into Malaysia’s next economic powerhouse after the Klang Valley.

Sultan Ibrahim was crowned the fifth Ruler of modern Johor in March 2015, marking a historical moment as the last coronation in the state was held for his late grandfather, Almarhum Sultan Ismail Ibni Almarhum Sultan Ibrahim, in February 1960.

Johoreans from all walks of life unite in celebrating His Majesty’s birthday with heartfelt wishes and gratitude for his leadership. The public’s expressions of joy and admiration demonstrate the deep respect and affection for the ruler.

The Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) Johor chapter chairman, Ivan Teo extends his heartfelt wishes to His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, King of Malaysia on the occasion of His Majesty’s 67th birthday.

“May his Majesty be blessed with good health, happiness, and wisdom to lead Johor and Malaysians towards greater prosperity and harmony,” Teo said.

Director of UN Global Compact Network Malaysia and Brunei, Edey Suresh said leadership is measured by the stability it brings and the legacy it builds.

“On this distinguished occasion, we pay tribute to His Majesty, the Sultan of Johor. May His steadfast leadership continue to guide the nation prosperity,” he said.

Senior traffic engineer Datuk Ir Mohd Noh Ibrahim wishes His Majesty a blessed and wonderful birthday.

“May Tuanku enjoy a life filled with love, happiness and good health. Thank you for your guidance in making us a peaceful and progressive state,” said Datuk Ir Mohd Noh.

Consultant gynecologist at Specialist Women’s Hospital, Dr K.N.Singh extends his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes on the joyous occasion of the birthday of His Majesty.

“Now that you are in Kuala Lumpur, we Bangsa Johor, miss the comfort of your presence in Johor,” said Dr K. N. Singh.

Founder chairman of Austin Heights International School, Dato’ Ir Steve Chong Yoon On said His Majesty has proven himself a just and wise ruler, putting the rakyat first and upholding the principles that make Johor great.

“As an educationist, I wish His Majesty a long life, good health and a very blessed birthday and beyond,” said Dato’ Ir Steve Chong.

Chairman of the Malaysian Red Crescent Society, Johor Bahru branch Chua Liak Ching described His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia as a very humble and down-to-earth person who always has the best interest of the people in his heart.

“I am certain that His Majesty will be able to bring the country forward during His Majesty’s reign as the King. May His Majesty have a blessed birthday,” said Chua.
