JOHOR BAHRU: Laughter and chatter of children filled the air at the heartwarming Christmas charity dinner at Amari Johor Bahru for children battling cancer and orphans.
The main objective of this event is to let the underprivileged children have a chance to enjoy the festive season like other children and also to create joy and memories for them.
By hosting a Christmas Charity Dinner, Zenith Lifestyle Centre, Amari Johor Bahru, and Lions Clubs International have teamed up to spread happiness and make treasured memories this holiday season.
This significant event, held at Amaya Food Gallery in Amari Johor Bahru, brought together orphans and impoverished children fighting cancer for a wonderful evening of love, hope, and camaraderie.

The purpose of this charity meal is to strengthen ties between the kids that the contributors help. Donors were given the exceptional chance to dine with these kids, enjoying not just a meal but also special moments that perfectly capture the essence of Christmas, all thanks to the kind sponsorship of the tickets.
The evening serves as a beautiful reminder of the power of giving, a celebration of kindness that uplifts both giver and receiver.
It was a night of joyous celebration, the dinner included a heartfelt saxophone performance by Keyin Tay, the first female freestyle saxophonist in Malaysia, whose mesmerizing tunes won over the hearts of all in attendance.
The children themselves performed a touching show that highlights their bravery, skill, and delight, adding to the evening’s warmth.
This event, which was made possible by the contributors’ persistent support and generosity, benefited some 50 people.
A lavish one-night stay at the hotel has been added to the grand fortunate draw prize list by Amari Johor Bahru as an acknowledgement for individuals who exemplify the giving attitude.
“Kindness is the greatest gift you can give,” a Lions Clubs International spokesperson said during the event. It has the capacity to change lives, heal, and unite people. This meal serves as a reminder that we get so much more in return when we give.

Giving freely to create moments of joy and optimism is the essence of the holiday season, and this program perfectly captures that spirit. By working together, we can spread the idea of “Give to Receive” and make this Christmas genuinely special for these worthy kids.
In her address earlier, Amari Johor Bahru general manager Pauline Chua said standing here tonight and welcoming each and every one of you to this special Christmas Charity dinner is a true honour.
More than just celebrating the season, she said this event is about uniting as a community to brighten the lives of those who are most in need.
“Your kindness has allowed us to provide a warm, humorous, and hopeful evening for those facing life’s obstacles at an early age,” she stated.
She also said they are grateful to all sponsors, partners, and benefactors for their generosity and for reminding them all of the real significance of Christmas.
In the darkest of times, when a child is facing the formidable challenge of cancer, words of encouragement become rays of hope that can pierce through the gloom. These words hold immense power – they can uplift, inspire, and provide the strength needed to battle this relentless foe.

At this time we offer those children battling cancer our solace, strength and unwavering support.
“You have a team of family and friends who love and support you through every step of this journey,” she said.
“Stay positive; your spirit is contagious, your smile is a beacon of joy and every challenge is an opportunity to grow,” she added.
She was clear stating that helping orphans at Christmas is a beautiful way to bring joy and support to those who may not have a stable family or home during the holiday season.
“Helping orphans at Christmas can have numerous benefits, both for the orphans and those who choose to extend a helping hand,” she remarked.
However, she said for those affected by cancer, Christmas can be a time when they simply want to spend it with those that mean the most to them.
She further stated that during this time of year it’s easy to forget, with the stress of having to buy a mountain of gifts and the distracting array of lights dazzling each street, that those with cancer may not be able to enjoy or take part in the festivities.
She added that as Christmas approaches, the spirit of giving becomes even more meaningful.
