PATTANI (Southern Thailand): The province of Pattani offers many interesting places for tourists from ASEAN countries to explore, especially for residents of Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore.
Pattani Governor, Pateemoh Sadeeyamu, said that Pattani has its own uniqueness, from the culture and lifestyle of the local community to the beautiful natural environment.

She said that one of Pattani’s unique features is the diversity of its people and religions, especially among the Malay, Siamese, and Chinese communities.
“No matter what religion the tourists follow, there are interesting places for them to visit, such as the Kerisek Mosque and the Grand Mosque of Pattani for Muslims.

“For Buddhists, there is the Wat Chang Hai Temple and the Lim Ko Niao Temple (next to the Kerisek Mosque).
“Therefore, we are delighted to welcome tourists to visit the interesting places in Pattani,” she said.
She was speaking to more than 80 agents representing travel agencies from Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore here yesterday (September 1, 2024).
All the travel agents attended the Program for Upgrading Pattani Province ‘The City of Sea Crabs’ to Southern Border Tourism, which started on August 30 and will end today.

The program, which aims to make Pattani Province a center for offering sea crabs, was successfully carried out with strong support and assistance from the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Center (SBPAC).
Pateemoh, who is the first female Muslim governor in Thailand, hopes that the Business To Business (B2B) program among the travel agents attending the event will yield positive results.
She also expressed her gratitude to SBPAC, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, and local tourism associations for making the program a success.
