2PM, driving along the coast, I turned off the highway before reaching Sekincan at Sungai Burung, into a narrow road leading towards the Jeti Nelayan Parit 3, a fishing jetty for the local fishing community.
There was a lovely short stretch of sandy beach that was more millions of tiny sun-bleached seashells than grains of sand.
The tide has just started to turn and the sea level was rising noticeably. A fishing boat arrived and moored at the jetty, joining the many colorful fishing boats.
Under the blazing sun, two boys were fishing, while playing with seashells on the beach.
Above, I could hear the calls of a lone Brahminy Kite, while at the shallows were herons, egrets, storks, sandpipers and other waders.
Over the river mouth, as the waves was rising with the rising tide, the terns were diving to catch small fishes.
The millions of tiny crabs were starting to disappear under the waves, but the mudskippers were still hugging wherever there was a dry spot.
What a great day along the coast.
