JOHOR BAHRU: A child’s imagination may begin with a sketch on paper, but with the right guidance, it can grow into a real product with lasting impact.
That’s the vision behind a new collaboration between MuzArt International, Malaysia’s pioneer in cognitive development through art education, and Claytan Fine China (Tableware) Sdn Bhd, the country’s iconic ceramics manufacturer.
The two organisations have launched the Claytan National Design Competition and a series of creative entrepreneurship programmes designed to empower children to dream boldly, create fearlessly, and think like true innovators.

At the heart of the initiative lies a shared mission: to nurture not just artistic expression, but also leadership, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial confidence.
By pairing MuzArt’s expertise in cultivating creativity with Claytan’s century-old legacy in fine craftsmanship, the programme aims to take young participants far beyond traditional classroom learning.
The highlight of the partnership is the newly introduced CPO Youngpreneur Course, where children will gain firsthand experience in entrepreneurship.
From developing original product designs to seeing them brought to life by Claytan’s artisans, participants will also learn to market, budget, and sell their creations in real-world settings.

“This partnership with Claytan represents more than just a competition — it is a platform for children to explore their creativity, learn entrepreneurship, and make a meaningful impact in their communities,” said Shannics Teh, Founder & CEO of MuzArt International, who will personally co-teach the course alongside Claytan’s senior management team.
The programme is designed to provide children with skills that go far beyond design and art. By taking ownership of their projects, participants will sharpen their teamwork, problem-solving, and presentation abilities while gaining confidence through real-world exposure.
Perhaps most significantly, the initiative also integrates social responsibility. Children will be encouraged to reinvest part of their earnings into community causes, teaching them that entrepreneurship and compassion can go hand-in-hand.
“Claytan is proud to support this initiative, which not only celebrates Malaysia’s heritage in fine ceramics but also inspires the next generation of creative thinkers and entrepreneurs,” said Joseph Tan, Executive Director of Claytan Group.

The MuzArt x Claytan collaboration represents more than an art contest — it is a movement to shape future-ready leaders.
By transforming children’s ideas into tangible products, and guiding them through the excitement of product launches and customer engagement, the programme ensures participants walk away with skills and experiences that will last a lifetime.
In blending imagination, innovation, and community values, MuzArt and Claytan are giving young dreamers the tools to become changemakers — turning creativity into real-world impact and leaving a legacy that extends far beyond the competition stage.
