PRINCE of Songkla University (PSU) has officially launched the Songklanagarind Digital Dental Center Phuket (SDDC Phuket) on September 1, 2025, at Saphan Hin, Phuket.
The center marks a significant milestone in establishing Phuket as a comprehensive hub for digital dentistry, research, and education in the Andaman region, while advancing oral healthcare services to meet international standards.

Cutting-edge services for all generations
SDDC Phuket was founded with the vision to become a “Center of Excellence in Digital Dentistry for Sustainable Health”. It integrates state-of-the-art technologies into patient care, including:
- 3D intraoral scanning for high-precision digital impressions;
- Computer-assisted treatment planning for implant surgery with 3D radiography.[ and
- CAD/CAM and 3D printing systems for same-day restorations and prosthetic works.
The center is also the first in Thailand to introduce a Wheelchair Place dental unit, allowing elderly and disabled patients to receive treatment without leaving their wheelchairs.
A Negative Pressure Room is available to safely manage patients with airborne infectious diseases such as COVID-19 and tuberculosis, ensuring the highest standard of infection control.

Education, research, and innovation hub
Beyond its clinical services, SDDC Phuket serves as a training and research hub for digital dentistry.
Expert faculty from PSU’s Faculty of Dentistry provide advanced education and hands-on training across all specialties, including general dentistry, orthodontics, prosthodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, implantology, and temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ) management.
By integrating internationally recognized dental research with modern pedagogy, the center is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of dentists who are equipped with digital competencies, professional ethics, and global competitiveness.
Strengthening Phuket as a medical & dental tourism hub
SDDC Phuket also functions as a tertiary referral center for complex dental cases across the Andaman region, reducing the need for patients to travel long distances to Hat Yai.
Furthermore, it supports Phuket’s positioning as a medical and dental tourism hub, catering to international visitors seeking world-class treatment in limited timeframes.
The center offers services daily from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, accessible via advance booking or walk-in visits. To celebrate its opening, SDDC Phuket is offering a 15% discount on all services throughout 2025.

Commitment to the future
The establishment of SDDC Phuket reflects PSU’s unwavering commitment to advancing dental education, research, and healthcare services, while strengthening Phuket and the Andaman region as a leading gateway for digital dentistry in Thailand and ASEAN.
