I spotted this juvenile monitor lizard. Little junior has more color patterns than the adults.

Obviously it has not learnt to be afraid of humans as it did not move away despite I was quite close to take the photos.

Monitor lizards have made themselves at home in the urban environment, as they are spotted frequently in the city. Unfortunately they are also casualties on the roads.

The rich biodiversity of Malaysian nature and natural wonders continue to amaze.
