NOT far from the main ferry jetty on Pangkor Island, is the spectacular Masjid Al-Badr or also known as the Masjid Seribu Selawat.

The mosque is known as the mosque with the Seribu Selawat, because there are 1,000 prayers carved on the pillars and the walls.

The architecture is a mix of Perak architecture, with Turkish and Middle Eastern influences.

The mosque was officially opened by HRH Sultan Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah on 8th June 2017.

When looking out through the arches, they present beautiful “framed” views of the sea and island surrounding the “floating” mosque.

Continuing my roadtrips to discover beautiful Malaysia.
