I wanted to check out the golden paddy fields ready for harvesting in Tanjung Karang and Sekincan, and took a short detour passing through small villages to river mouth at the Jeti Nelayan Parit 3.

The tide was low and hardly anyone around, except for a man far out on the mudflats collecting cockles in the mud.

Nearby at Pantai Redang in Sekincan it can be crowded at times. But I prefer these quiet beaches along the coast where the only sounds are the breeze and the shorebirds.
