I was taking a stroll around the lake and at one end there were yellow water-lily flowers floating on the water.

Usually I would expect white or red water-lily flowers, or maybe white or pink lotus flowers, so yellow water-lily flowers were a pleasant surprise.

Yellow water lilies symbolise unity, creation, gracefulness.

The water-lily is a common plant found in still or slow-moving water such ponds, lakes, irrigation canals and other waterways, similar to the lotus.

It is wonderful that there are “gardens” of flowers everywhere, including lakes and ponds.
