BENTONG: ANIH Berhad, the operator of the Kuala Lumpur-Karak
Highway (KLK) and the East Coast Expressway Phase 1 (ECE1) collaborates with the Majlis Ugama Islam & Adat Istiadat Melayu Pahang (MUIP) and Pusat Kutipan Zakat Pahang (PKZP) through its Program Jalinan Kasih Zakat & Wakaf Bersama Anih Berhad.

The collaborative efforts benefit some 18 mosques and Islamic institutions in Pahang with proceeds distributed from Zakat collection amounting RM 120,000 from businesses in the state. At the event launch, ANIH Berhad contributed two vehicles to Islamic studies institutions, Rumah Ngaji Barokah and Maahad Al-Dirasat Ad-niyyah (MADAD).

“I hope that this contribution would support and benefits the two institutions, which includes residents of Temerloh and Jerantut in particular.

“I believe this support will make a meaningful impact on both institutions. ANIH Berhad is honoured to have the opportunity to give back to our community through this joint programme with our partners, MUIP and PKZP,” said ANIH Berhad senior general manager Radzimah Mohd Radzi.

She said the company, as a responsible corporate citizen, is also committed to supporting all efforts to improve the socio-economic level of the local community, especially the communities along the two highways.

“I am pleased to note that since its establishment, ANIH Berhad has succeeded in helping to increase economic activities along our highways, particularly through directly involving members of our community in business activities, especially operators at our RSAs and lay-bys. “

The stalls are 100% operated by local operators and residents, she added.
