If the bubble is water, certainly the sea is
How can the bubble be water but not the sea?
If closer to us then our jugular is where He is
How is our Creator, seen away from us be?

The sacrifice required of us looks simple
But it is hard at the same time
Yes, to get out of the bubble sounds simple
But nothing is so, in matters of the sublime

To be enlightened, is to give up the “self”
But who wants to give himself up
When to exist is nothing else but the self?
So can or would you give your self up?

It sounds quite simple but it is hard
When in giving is actually getting back
But the ego in us is a stubborn stud
An unruly horse on the ego’s back

But the volition has to be made
To give up the self and be annihilated
And like the phoenix’s ashes be made
So to fly off free as a bird liberated
